Specially commissioned by Altrincham Today for the front cover of the latest issue of our magazine, the Giclee Matt 300gsm unframed, A3 print is the work of acclaimed Chester-based designer and illustrator Nicky Thompson, from Lemondrop Creative.

Thompson’ acclaimed, 1930s-inspired rail posters for the Marvellous Days Out campaign achieved international success – and can be seen on Altrincham station.

This A3 print (measuring 297 x 420mm) is the ideal memento from a historic day, when the final stage of Britain’s most prestigious cycle race starts from Altrincham town centre, before the world’s best riders and teams make their way through Hale and around Greater Manchester before finishing on Deansgate in Manchester city centre.

Each print, which comes in a Limited Edition run of 200, has been individually signed and numbered by the artist. Altrincham Market is featured as the backdrop, just as it will be for the race itself.
