Sale Sharks will be making their opponents see double in future…and its not due to the effects of concussion!

They’ve announced the signing of identical twins…Ben and Tom Curry.

The twin brothers have been in the Sharks Academy since the age of 14, and have been key performers in the U18 side this season, with Ben captaining the side.

Seeing double twins Ben and Tom Curry. Or is Tom and Ben?  Actually its Ben and Tom..

Brendan Thomas, Head of Shark Academy, said: “I am delighted that both Ben & Tom will be furthering their rugby development here at Sale Sharks. Hopefully we will see them in a Sharks first team shirt soon as home-grown products from our North West region.”

The pair are currently studying at Oundle School for their A-Levels, with Ben studying Maths, Chemistry and Geography, and Tom studying Biology, Chemistry and Geography. They will both join up with the Sharks in the summer for pre-season.

The back-rowers have featured regularly at England age-group levels, with most recently playing in the England U18s side in Six Nations. Tom was awarded the BMW Man of the Match against Scotland in March. They are set to tour South Africa with England U18s this summer.

And Sharks have announced they have also signed of Tongan International Prop, Halani Aulika from London Irish.
