Police urging Sale residents to be vigilant after thief strikes again

Police are warning Sale residents to watch out for a man who is stealing post in the area.

The man is reported to have stolen post in the vicinity of Broad Road and Northenden Road.

Witnesses have described the man responsible as being in his mid 20’s. of mixed race, about 5’10”, mid-stocky build, short dark hair.wearing a yellow high visibility jacket with a black satchel worn across the body.

Anyone with any information should contact the police on 101.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
