Thousands queued for hours in the hope of getting one of the 3,000 jobs on offer in January

That event was held in the  Runway Visitor Park event at the airport, where 3,000 jobs were on offer from the likes of Jet2.com and Costa Coffee,.  It was inundated with thousands more people than expected and caused gridlock around Hale Barns and the airport with many of those going for the fair failing to getting there.

Manchester Airport is already one of the largest centres of employment in the North West with more than 21,500 people directly employed on site, and according to the airport, supporting a further 45,000 jobs in the region.

The LCC site has free parking but also can be accessed via the Metrolink  and bus services.

Tony Wallis, Operations Manager, from SSP said: “After finding some excellent candidates at the Jobs Fair earlier in the year we were determined to be involved in this one too.
