Police warning as thieves target cars in the Sale area

Police are warning that thieves are targeting cars in theft from homes in the Sale area.

The latest incident happened when a house was broken into and the offenders gained entry by prising open a ground floor window in a house on Framingham Road in Sale.

A GMP spokesman said:” Vehicle keys were taken and two vehicles were stolen. One of the vehicles has been recovered, a black Audi A1, registration RO51 NAT is still outstanding.

“If you spot this vehicle or have any information, please call us on the 101 number, or crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
