Spate of burglaries in Sale continues

[dropcap title “circle”]Police are warning householders to be vigilant and check their houses are secure overnight following a spate of burglaries in Sale,

The latest break-in occurred last night in Harley Road between 9-11pm A quantity of jewellery, an Apple I-pad and a laptop were stolen.

A GMP spokesman said:”Entry was gained by damaging a front door. If you spotted any suspicious behaviour in Harley Road, or have any information, please call us on the 101 number or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
