Can you identify this person? Police want to question him about an alleged offence

Police are appealing for your help to indetify this man in connection with bogus charity collecting and theft in the Sale Moor and Wythenshawe areas.

A GMP spokesman says:”Shortly after 7.30am on Tuesday, 7 June 2016, police received two reports of distraction thefts at properties in Fellpark Road.

“A man has knocked on two residents’ doors claiming to be collecting money for charity.

“The offender has followed the victims into their home where they have both given him a small amount of money.”

After one of his visits, an elderly woman noticed £20 was missing from her table.

Officer would like to speak to the man pictured to help them with their enquiries.

PC Kate Brookes, from GMP’s City of Manchester team, said: “I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured or has any information about the theft to please call police.

“I would also like to remind residents, particularly those who are vulnerable, to use a door chain when answering the door to unknown people and always ask for identification.”
