Man arrested in drugs raid in Sale Moor

Police have arrested a man in a raid at a house in Helsby Road in Sale Moor, where a large amount of cannabis was recovered.

A GMP spokesman said:” One male adult was arrested for being in possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and has since been bailed whilst enquiries continue. The raid happened on Monday.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
