The missing Sale Grammar School girl Tess Blandamer, has been found safe and well and is expected to be back at home soon, according to a close friend of the family.

Tess is 16 and finished her GCSE’s last Friday.  She was last seen in Sale just after 10 am yesterday morning and is thought to have boarded a Manchester bound tram from Brooklands at around 11 am.

Her parents were obviously distressed at her disappearance because they said she had never gone missing before and they added she had left her mobile at home in Ashton-on-Mersey.

Tess Blandamer, from Ashton-on-Mersey aged 16, left home without mobile phone

Just after 5.30pm this evening a family friend tweeted that Tess had been found safe and well and was heading home.  She thanked social media users for their help in the search.

One tweet from Brooklands Hockey Club said :” Very pleased and relieved to let you know Tess is safe and sound.  Massive thank you to everyone who has helped.” with #hockeyfamily at the end of the message.
