A husband and wife are recovering after they confronted a burglar in their home in Brooklands Road.
The man demanded car keys from the woman in her kitchen. “He ran towards me and assaulted me and acted aggressively to me.This man in my opinion is dangerous. He did not expect me to retaliate.” said the woman.
Her husband pushed a panic button and the man ran off.
GMP have appealed for help in finding the man. They also have received reports of attempted break-ins in Framingham Road, in Sale earlier today.
A police spokesman said:”We received reports of males in rear gardens on Framingham Road in Sale at 3am this morning, officers attended and searched the area, however there was no trace.”
There was also an attempted burglary on Wardle Road in Sale overnight, offenders damaged rear patio doors to try and gain entry.
“Please call us on the 101 non-emergency number if you spotted any suspicious activity in the area at that time.” the spokesman added.
