Two seventeen year olds  have admitted they were behind the trail of graffiti which covered signs, walls, trees, pavements, and BT junction boxes and a phone box in Ashton on Mersey.

They both live locally and a spokesman for GMP said that they served with a “restorative justice” order.  “This means they have to agree to restore the things have done wrong.  They have offered some money and have carried out some work on gardens and fences, and written letters of apology.

“They said  acted on impulse after a night out in Sale, and deeply regret their actions and the offence they have caused. We thought the ‘restorative justice’ approach was the right way of dealing with their actions.”

The mile-long trail of graffiti caused outrage in the local community.
