Teachers strike – fourteen schools in Trafford close, 26 others “partially open”

Fourteen schools in Trafford are shut today as teachers go on strike.

Members of the National Union of Teachers voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action, with demands including increased funding and to negotiate teacher contracts.

Trafford Council has confirmed that 14 Trafford schools will be shut for the entire day on Tuesday July 5 as a result of the strike action.

A further 26 schools across the borough will be ‘partially closed’.

The following is a list of schools in the area and their current status for tomorrow. The council is advising parents to either contact the school or check the schools’ websites for further information.
