Burglary in Sale – police want your help to trace thieves

Police are appealing for any witnesses to a burglary in Crossway Road in Sale.

A GMP spokesman says:”There was a burglary yesterday morning on Crossway Road in Sale. The offender gained access by damaging a rear door and property was stolen. If you witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at that time please call us on the 101 number.”

The police are holding a Crime Prevention Stand today at St Johns Church, Brooklands Road, Sale between 10.30am and 11.30am. ”Come along for crime prevention advice and to discuss any localised issues you may be experiencing” said a spokesman..

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
