Sale hosts a Farmers’ Market today. It is taking place in the Square and the Mall.
The organisers will be hoping for bumper turn out and the Market will feature stalls will all types of food and crafts, and fresh produce. The regular traders will be there, and also some new stalls.
It runs through the day to 5pm

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.
The memorial reads:
