Police appeal for help in tracing dangerous off road bikes in the Sale Moor area

Police are appealing for help to trace off road bikers who are riding dangerously in Sale Moor.

”We have had numerous reports of off road motor cycles being ridden in Sale Moor in particular Norris Road, Derbyshire Road, Conway Road and Northenden Road.  Do you know who is riding these motor cycles causing a nuisance?” said a GMP spokesman.

The police are in the area and are working with Trafford Housing Trust and other housing authorities to locate these bikes and deal with the riders.

The police spokesman added this warning:”Off-road bikes are noisy, illegal and dangerous and anybody caught riding one in any public space will have it seized and crushed. This includes Quads, scramblers, mini-motos and go-peds.

“Please continue in reporting these incidents to us via 101, alternatively you can send us a direct message on Facebook or email Traffordsouth@gmp.police.uk with details of any long term problems that are affecting you and your local community.”
