Police have issued an urgent warning after an Ashton on Mersey teenager was sexually assaulted in Dainwell Park.
Police say they are looking for a man in his mid-seventies after the incident which happened at 9pm last night.
A spokesman for GMP said:” A 14 year old boy sat on a bench in Dainewell Park, Ashton on Mersey close to the playground. He was approached by a male offender who sat down next to him and proceeded to touch his leg sexually over his clothing.
“The man was described as a white, in his 70’s, of chubby build and medium height. He had grey/white hair and a large spot to the right of his forehead. He was wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans, and was carrying a green carrier bag.
“Parents please warn your children to be vigilant regarding Stranger Danger, more so now there are more children out and about during the school holidays.”
