Twenty five projects have been given £6,000 to improve the local community to ‘make Sale smile’.
From street parties and community planting schemes, to arts projects, dance sessions, will benefit from the grants announced by Trafford Council under the “Making Sale Smile” funding initiative.
Sale Locality Partnership Chair, Cllr John Lamb, was delighted with the response from local people and praised their community spirit. “It is fantastic to see the huge efforts people have gone to for their area. It is testimony to the strength of Trafford’s local community spirit and resilience that we have had such an amazing array of small projects, all thought up by local people wanting to help make a difference.
”I would like to congratulate each and every person involved. It is by supporting their efforts with pockets of grant funding that the Council can help bring their vision of introducing something which will make such a huge positive impact on the immediate area to reality.
“Across Trafford we are seeing the very best of community life, groups and individuals who are willing and eager to play their part in ensuring Trafford continues to be somewhere people are proud to live in.”
