Homeowner stops would-be burglars breaking into to his house in Sale

Police have released details about an attempted burglary at a house in Sale, where the homeowner was able to stop the would-be burglars getting in.

The incident happened at the house in Langdale Road when two offenders tried to force the back door.

The owner was home at the time, around 4 pm yesterday, and disturbed them.

The offenders are described as follows:-

White male 17-20yrs blonde hair dark clothing

White male 17-20yrs big build short brown curly hair on top wearing all dark clothing.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
