Two cars were stolen by burglars who broke into a house in Northenden Road in Sale Moor in the early hours of Monday morning.

Greater Manchester police say the offenders got in to the property from the rear although they do not know what method of breaking in was used.

The vehicles which were taken are as follows: a Turquoise Toyota Yaris,  registration number ML13 VEV  and a Yellow Volkswagen Caddy, registration number BJ6 1UOY.

The latest incident is the seventh in the last week and the 14th in the last three weeks which involve break-ins or attempted burglaries, several of which have seen cars taken from drives.  If you have any information or see the above vehicles please call the Police on 101 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.

And an attempted burglary occurred  overnight on Monday morning on Wythenshawe Road, Sale.

“The offender/s approached the property and tried to force the rear door in an attempt to gain access. Damage was caused to the door, although no entry was gained.

‘Did you see any suspicious activity in the area? Always remain vigilant where possible and report anything suspicious to the Police via 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress,” said a GMP spokesman.

*Sale Today is very conscious of the fact we are reporting so many burglaries and our intention is not to frighten anyone.  But we are here to report local news and unfortunately that includes crime.  Hopefully we’re seeing a blip in this kind of incident and they’ll be few and far between from now on.  We will, of course,  continue to report the positive issues in Sale.
