Location is everything – and Sale is where the stars are filming this summer

Filming has continued in Sale on a number of TV dramas – proof if proof needed that the town is THE place to be!

Michelle Keegan, the ex-Coronation Street actress is soon to be back on our screens in a new series of Our Girl.

However, she has been continuing in her role as Tina Moore, the wife of the late Bobby Moore who captained the World Cup winning England side in 1966.

Sale is masquerading as 60s Essex where the couple grew up, married and had a family.  Some of the filming has been done in Brooklands where the frontage of the shops close to the tram station was transformed into a Chigwell of 50 years ago.

The latest filming has been  done in Framingham Road.  ITV,  who are making the series Tina and Bobby,  haven’t allowed official access to the TV set,  but local fans and freelance photographers have been snapping away.

Coronation Street has been rumoured to be filming in the town and Peter Kay was last month seen with his familiar red car recording episodes of Car Share.
