They were dancing in the aisles in a Sale supermarket at the weekend as the Rio carnival came to town.

Throughout the year many stores in Sale have fundraising events and staff at Tesco decided to hold a charity weekend to co-incide with the Olympics.

It was called the Copacabana beach weekend and if the weather was decidedly British summer outside there was more than a warm welcome inside.  There was even a Zumba teacher Karin Saenz Miller persuading customers and staff alike to shimmy and shake for charity.

Dan Morton, the community champion for the Sale store said:”There was a huge community feel about the weekend and the staff and all the customers loved getting hands on with all the carnival crown making and we had Karin in on Saturday doing Zumba dancing for our entertainment.”
