Sale Sharks have announced Cameron Neild has signed a new four-year deal at the club.
Neild joined the Sharks academy set-up in the summer of 2013 straight from Manchester Grammar School. Having begun as a hooker, a switch to the back row marked another stage in the development of the Manchester-born youngster.
Last season, he made 23 appearances in the first team, and was named joint Young Player of the Season.
On signing his new contract, Neild said: “I’m really chuffed to be staying at the club, it’s the club I used to go and support when they played at Edgeley Park – so I’m really happy to able to stay here long term. I’m looking forward to the upcoming season.”
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond added: “Cameron is a fantastic player, who has come through the academy and shone last season. We’re pleased he’s chosen to extend his deal at the club, and I have no doubt that he will continue to progress and become one of the building blocks of the team.”
