Police appeal for help as Sale hit by two burglaries overnight

There have been two burglaries reported in Sale overnight.

Police say they are appealing for help after a house in Coppice Avenue was broken into in the early hours of the morning and property taken.

And thieves gained access to a house in Dargle Road, by climbing on the porch to gain access to a first floor window, in the daytime yesterday.

A GMP spokesman said:” Did you see any suspicious behaviour in the area? Please call us on the 101 line if you have any information about these two thefts”.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
