Burglars used a cat flap to reach back door keys to gain access to a house in Harboro Road in Sale overnight.

A spokesman for GMP said:”The offender/s gained entry by reaching through the cat flap to unlock the back door. Keys were taken and a vehicle was stolen, which has now been recovered.”

The same method was used in a burglary on the 14th September in Timperley when thieves gained access through a cat flap using an “unknown implement”  to hook onto the house keys,  and stole  a Mercedes  C200 D Class car from a house in Riverbrook Road on the Stamford Brook estate.
