Police hunting for thieves who burgled a house in Marsland Road in Sale

Thieves were disturbed during a burglary in a house in Marsland Road in Sale.

A spokesman for GMP said:”The offender/s removed a security bar from the cellar window and jumped onto the foot well below the window in the early hours of Thursday morning. The noise alerted the occupants and the offenders/ made off in a white transit van. Please report any information you may have to 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
