Car stolen after overnight burglary in Sale

Thieves have stolen a Black Golf car in a an overnight burglary in Sale.

A spokesman for GMP said:”Overnight a burglary occurred on Pulford Road, Sale. Offenders have gained entry to the property and stolen a Black Golf car – registration number GP03 VRY and property from within. If you see this vehicle please contact 101.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
