A Sale family are appealing for help to find their lost dog.

Alfie was last seen running through Sale Moor from Marsland Road

Michael Collier is asking for help from Sale Today readers to trace Alfie, who is a cherished family pet.

“Any help you could offer would be great. He was last seen running through Sale Moor and down Marsland Road. We are hoping he will be sighted. He is not the sort of dog to hide in a bush or garden. WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
