The search for the missing Jack Russell – Alfie – centred around Ashton village today after two possible sightings on Glebelands Road and Romford Road in Sale yesterday.
Michael Collier who launched an appeal through Facebook said:”Alfie is my mother’s dog. We all miss him terribly. He was spooked by someone letting off a firework and he bolted down Marsland Road in Sale Moor and didn’t come back.
“We have reports of him being in Sale yesterday heading in the direction of Ashton village. I would like to take this opportunity through Sale Today to thank the public and the Facebook community for trying to find Alfie. The response has been overwhelming. He’s probably scared and confused and missing his family. He is fairly easy to spot because of his markings.”
