Thieves steal two cars in separate burglaries from Sale houses

Two cars have been taken by thieves in two seperate burglaries from Sale houses at the weekend.

A spokesman for GMP said:”There has been a burglary in the early hours of Sunday morning. Thieves broke into a house on Woodbourne Road in Sale by smashing through the front door and stole a grey Range Rover, VRM MJ10 HKF, the vehicle is still outstanding.

“And there was a burglary on Saturday night on Washway Road in Sale. Burglars gained access by damaging the patio doors just after 9pm. A grey Audi A6, VRM MV16 NFP was stolen and is still outstanding. Please call us on the 101 number if you have any information or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, thank you”.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
