A man has been arrested and charged with robbery in relation to an incident that occurred in Washway Road, Sale last Saturday.
A spokesman for GMP said:”An 80yr old female was punched and thrown to the floor after her bag was stolen,which happened close to the Sale Point building on Saturday evening.
“A man has been arrested and charged with robbery.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.
The memorial reads:
