Police appeal for witnesses after Brooklands shop robbery

[dropcap type “circles]Police are appealing for witnesses after a trio of masked robbers targeted a shop in Brooklands.

At 8.30pm on Monday 12 December 2016, three men wearing balaclavas burst into the McColls shop on Framingham Road ..

They threatened staff and forced them to open the safe, before filling a bedsheet with cash and cigarettes. All three then fled the shop.

The men are described as:

Offender 1: man in his late teens/early 20s, white, 6ft tall, of slim build, and wearing a red bubble jacket, light blue jeans, a blue hoody and a face covering.

Offender 2: man in his late teens/early 20s, of slim build and wearing a black hooded jacket.

Offender 3: a man in his late teens/early 20’s, wearing a dark hooded bubble jacket with green large design label to the chest area, and carrying a duvet.

Detective Constable Paul Walls of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “These men terrified staff as they pushed them about and smashed bottles of alcohol in the process.

“I am keen to speak to any witnesses who saw the trio in the area at this time, or anyone who has information about who may be behind the robbery.”
