Burglary as thieves smash their way into Sale homes

Police are appealing for any help to try and trace thieves who smashed their way into two houses in Sale at the weekend.

A spokesman for GMP said:”There was a burglary on Earlesfield Close in Sale, offenders smashed the rear patio glass door to gain entry. This occurred just after 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

And the same means of gaining entry was use to burgle a house in Northenden Road, Sale on Saturday, after 4pm.

”Offenders gained access by smashing a rear patio window with a brick. Property was stolen from the home;” said a police spokesman.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
