Police appeal for help after three burglaries in the Sale area

Police are appealing for help after the Sale area was targeted by burglaries yesterday. A car and property is missing from the houses.

‘A silver Vauxhall Corsa – registration YG57 KRE – was stolen just after 5pm yesterday at a house in Wythenshawe Road..,’ said a spokesman for GMP.

“And thieves smashed the rear patio doors to gain entry to a house on Dargle Road, late morning/early afternoon. The rear patio doors were also damaged to gain entry to a house on Granary Way in the evening,- property was stolen.

“If you have any information or witnessed any suspicious behaviour at these addresses please call us on 101 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
