Another burglary in Sale as thieves smash their way in through French windows

The spate of burglaries in Sale continues. There was a burglary during the daytime yesterday on Coppice Avenue in Sale.

A GMP spokesman said:”Offenders gained access by smashing the French doors at the rear of the property, enquiries are continuing. Please contact 101 if you have any information.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
