A woman who has only weeks to live, is appealing to Sale Today readers to help her travel to Germany to receive last-minute treatment at a specialist centre.
Alison Rolfe, 50, a mother of two, is suffering from a life-threatening rare form of bowel cancer. It was diagnosed in October last year. She received chemotherapy and underwent two major operations. Alison, who comes from Timperley, was given the “all clear” after the operations, but has been told now that she now has a secondary and more aggressive tumour.
She now believes that the only form of treatment that can save her is to be found in Germany. It is not available in Britain.
Alison, her friends and family have launched a GoFundMe page to try to raise £50,000 needed to start the treatment,

A family friend said: “She is the loveliest person, she is always there for everybody, and always has a smile on her face.
“She lights up a room just by being there.
Alison, a sales administrator, is married to Darren, 50, and the couple have two children – 24-year-old Liam and Chelsea, 20.
