Sale Sharks have announced the signing of Romanian Prop Forward Alexandru Tarus on a two year contract.
Alexandru,27, currently plays for Beziers in Pro2 and has represented Romania 16 times. He played twice in the 2015 World Cup against Ireland and Canada.
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said, “Alexandru is a great signing for us, he can play on both sides of the scrum although he is a specialist Tighthead.He is a big lad at 1.85m, weighing 125kg’s and he will, I am sure fit perfectly at Sharks.”
Alexandru who is at Carrington today meeting his new team mates said, “ This is a great opportunity for me to play in the Premiership. I know Vadim Cobilas well and he told me what a great club Sale Sharks are to play for.”
Tarus is Sale’s fourth new signing in the past two months after Glasgow Warriors forward Josh Strauss and Bristol duo Will Cliff and Marc Jones all agreed moves for next season.
