[dropcap type  “circles”]The search is on to find members of a choir that disbanded thirty years ago in Sale.

The RSCM – the Royal School of Church Music-  boy’s and men’s choir was very popular in the area, and it was a sad day when the choir disbanded.

Now ex-members are being invited to a special Choir Reunion Service and Social at St Mary Magdalene Church in Moss Lane in Sale on Saturday June 10th at 5pm.

“We are trying to find old members of our choir who may wish to attend. We have thirty eight former choristers participating and a scratch choir of fifty six people for this one off event,” said a spokesman for the event.

“The Vicar, conductor  and  organist are all  former choristers – so it will be a very poignant  event but at the same time very uplifting . There will be a service and social with refreshments. Everyone is very welcome to attend.”
