Thieves steal car in Sale using the cat flap to gain access to the keys

Police believe a cat flap was used to gain access  to a house, using the hook and cane method to steal a car in Sale overnight.

The incident occurred in a house in Craven Terrace .   A GMP spokesman said:”A black Vauxhall Insignia, registration DN11 OUD has been stolen from a house on Craven Terrace in Sale during the weekend. We think the keys were gained by using the hook and cane method via the cat flap.

“Please call us on 101 if you have any information or spot the vehicle.”

GMP have warned people not have any keys to vehicles left overnight in places where they can be easily reached.
