The Sale Festival 2017 begins today.

The organisers say we are heading for a bumper celebration of arts,culture and sports at various venues.

Attractions ranging from a mass picnics at Ashton Park,  and Moor Nook, to gigs like Meet The Beatles, or The Magic of Motown,  or performances of A Midsummers Night’s Dream from Ballet Cymru, to talks from Eddie ‘The Eagle”, and the Linden Club Beer Festival, to jazz, brass band and classical concerts, to choirs, and photography competitions, and family fun days and even an outdoor performance of David Walliams ‘Billionaire Boy” in Walkden Gardens – there is something for everyone.

The popular Farmer’s Market in School Road

The Festival last for a month and starts with the traditional Bridgewater canal cruise to Dunham this evening before a Canal Boat Parade tomorrow and a Farmer’s Market in School Road in Sale Town Centre, which begins at 9 am and runs all Saturday.
