The Queen of the Fairies Titania returns to Sale Waterside Arts Centre  as part of Sale Festival 2017, on Saturday with Puck, the mischievous messenger and  Bottom with his boot-wearing Rude Mechanicals. as Ballet Cymru rolls in town  for two performances of  a Midsummer Night’s Dream.

In this  funny and heart-warming adaptation for ballet of Shakespeares’s magical tale – features vibrant classical choreography danced by some of the finest dancers around and Mendelssohn’s joyous music is interpreted by Artistic Director Darius James and highlights the radiant costumes, sets and video projection.

A world of magic and mayhem. And finally, Shakespeare’s lovers are caught in a thrilling web of mistaken identity and confusion finally finding their way through the Athenian forest for an unforgettable and joyous reconciliation.

Ballet Cymru are a young, vital group of dancers who are pushing back the barriers of classical ballet. Using powerful and timeless stories the company challenges its dancers to interpret some of the finest characters in literature. Under the Artistic Direction of Darius James, the company continues to develop its relationship with audiences through accessible outreach work and exceptional, stylish performances.
