The Meet The Beatles bandwagon rolls into town as part of the Sale Festival at the Waterside Arts Centre robert Bolt theatre.

The soundalikes are – John – Lee Hambridge, Paul – Steve Hemming -George – Dave Cambridge and Ringo – Chris Webb, describe themselves as the most authentic Beatles tribute on the planet .

The ‘Yeah, Yeah. Yeahs..” start about 7.30pm – there are still some £10 tickets left.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943

F/Sgt. Edward Claude Thompson (Bomb Aimer)
