Artists draw attention to the fact that Sale is a really great place to live….

Artists have risen to the challenge of portraying just why Sale is a great place to live.

They are taking part in an exhibition – ‘Made For Sale’ that opens in July at the Sale Waterside Arts Centre.

It has been organised to coincide with Sale Arts Trail and will run from July 8th to August 5th – there will be a special preview night on July 6th.

The “Made for Sale” exhibition, at the Waterside Arts Centre,celebrates the recent accolade in which the town was claimed to be the fourth best place to live in the UK. For more details contact www.saleartstrail.com and www.facebook.com/saleartstrail

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
