Watch out Glastonbury – Lime Fest is coming to Sale

[dropcap type”circles”]Not many schools would have their own Festival – but look out Glastonbury – here comes Lime Fest.

Lime Tree Primary Academy is holding a Festival at Budworth Road in Sale, this Saturday with loads of groups, stalls, food and “something for the whole family”.

Live bands and acts include – John Reynolds, Sunglo; The Uninvited Guests and The Beatcleavers. Tickets are £2.50 in advance and £3 on the day. Further details can be obtained on – friendsofthelimetree@gmail.com

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
