Police seeking thief who stole pension from Brooklands home

Police are appealing for help in trying to track down a man who stole a pensioner’s pension from his home in Brooklands.

A GMP spokesman said:”There was a burglary at 3pm yesterday on Ashbourne Crescent, Brooklands – a man has entered the home of an elderly male and stole all of his pension.

“Don’t answer your door or let anyone into your home who you don’t know, be vigilant when you are walking around and look out for your neighbours.

“Any information sound device 101 or crime stoppers 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.
