Blessing the Crib service will take place on Friday outside Sale Town Hall

Churches Together in Sale are holding their traditional Blessing of the Crib service outside the Town Hall on Friday.

The popular event will take place at 1pm and a choir from St Joseph’s Primary School will lead the carol singing.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
