SALE TODAY ADVERTORIAL,,,

What make a great restaurant great?

‘Good food, atmosphere, and an excellence of service that you won’t get elsewhere – is the recipe for success. That’s what we are trying to do at Chez Nous,” says Ian Carr, the Chef Patron and owner of Sale’s Chez Nous Bistro on Marsland Road.

‘’You can’t have one without the others,” says Ian, who has guided Chez Nous over the last three years, to be the first choice for many people in South Trafford for a sumptuous dining experience or for a lunchtime rendezvous.

‘’For many restaurants this time of the year is a quiet time, but at Chez Nous it is the complete opposite – we have got Mother’s Day looming and Easter just around the corner – plus we are launching a new “express’ lunch menu as well as a new weekend brunch menu at the beginning of March.”

Ian is very keen to introduce the concept of an “express” lunch menu. ‘’We now cater for a growing number of people popping in at lunch.  It’s my desire to give them something special in 2018. But to marry this to the lunch break. People don’t have the time to sit and relax for too long, so we are introducing an “express” meals – good food served quickly. It’ll include a variety of our usual innovative cuisine, as well as perennial favourites such as sandwiches and burgers. Just because you’re time poor, it doesn’t mean you can’t eat well. We’re all guilty of it – grabbing something quick and unsatisfying while we’re on the run. Chez Nous want to change this and give people great tasting, good food in a hurry”.

Spiced gooseberry and plum crumble tart with creme Anglaise and a crunchy caramel shard…

“Our main focus is maintaining our reputation to be a suburban restaurant with an urban attitude serving fresh local produce with every meal.

“We rely on local produce and actively promote it wherever we can.  Our suppliers and distributors are superb like  R.Noone’s who supply all our fruit and vegetables and Neve Fleetwood who bring us a huge variety of pingingly fresh fish”.

“They know we set ourselves the highest standards. There is something wonderful cooking sea bass that you know has been caught in the morning or cooking a julienne of carrots, after being freshly picked,” says Ian.

“I love this time of the year because we have two events on the horizon.  Mothering Sunday and Easter is particularly special as it’s a time when families come together for quality time. It’s wonderful being the catalyst for making memories”.

We always say – with apologies to Shakespeare –  when it comes to food  – Chez Nous is the food of love.

The Mothering Sunday (11th March) menu will be £25.95 for 3 courses.

The Express lunch menu will be available from Friday 2nd March. Keep an eye on the Chez Nous Bistro website and social media for more details.
