Police were involved in a high-speed car chase through Timperley, Brooklands and then Sale overnight.
A GMP spokesman said:”Trafford South Response Team have been proactively patrolling Timperley & Brooklands following a recent number of overnight crimes.
“Last night a business premises in Timperley was burgled. Officers on route to the incident sighted a vehicle believed to be linked. This resulted in a high speed pursuit through Timperley, into Brooklands which later led us to Sale. The vehicle was eventually stopped and seized for forensic examination.
‘And in the early hours this morning officers sighted a VW Polo, where occupants appeared to be eyeing up addresses in Brooklands, when officers attempted to stop this vehicle it took off at speed. It was then pursued by the team through Brooklands into Wythenshawe and later abandoned in Woodhouse Park. Vehicle was found to be stolen in March following an Aggravated Burglary.”
