Three youths armed with knife arrested after attempted robbery in Sale

Three youths were arrested by police after an attempted armed robbery in School Road in Sale.

A spokesman for GMP said:”At 1920hrs there was a report of a robbery on School Road, Sale where three juveniles approached a male, demanded his property while one had hold of a knife. Officers attended quickly and the offenders were all arrested and the knife was found. Thankfully the victim wasn’t injured and they didn’t take his property.

“The juveniles have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”

Knife crime continues to be a problem. Any information can be passed via crime stoppers. #knivestakelives

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
