It’s not often the audience is in charge of the show – but stand by for Bumper Blyton – The Improvised Adventure coming to the Waterside this Friday.

Enjoy lashings of ginger beer and ham sandwiches – as the cast responds to the audience suggestions. ”No show is the same. In this riotous improvised spoof of the nation’s most beloved author, the all-star cast spins an entirely new adventure for grown-ups using the audience as inspiration and suggestions from the Blyton classics.'” said a spokesman for Waterside in Sale.

Featuring award-winning all-star comedians from the West End, the Wireless and the Telly Box.

Directed by Amy Cooke-Hodgson, co-creator of West End’s Austentatious it starts at 8pm.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
