Stand by to have your hearts broken, repaired, and beating faster than you can say Jane Austen…as an outdoor performance of Pride and Prejudice takes centre stage in the Sale Festival 2018.

It promises to be one of the highlights of the Festival with Heartbreak Productions taking over Walkden Gardens for the night.

A spokesman for the organisers says:”Join Heartbreak, the Bennet sisters, and a host of charming, young bachelors (yes, Mr Darcy will be there. No, really, yes, that Mr Darcy), for an evening of comedy, romance, and more than one comeuppance, as we learn how to behave, ahem, properly.”

And bear in mind the outdoor performance will go on whatever the weather! So be prepared for all weather conditions.

The performance starts at 6 pm promptly on the 24th June in Walkden Gardens.

“Cucumber sandwiches are permitted at this outdoor adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, but do ensure you know how to properly use a napkin, remember to chew with your mouths closed, and please, try not to fall in love with Mr Darcy, as we believe he is very soon to be engaged.  And we encourage people to bring their food, tables and chairs and have a great time
